secchi has now released more frames of comet elenin.. up to and including 4th sept.. still intact as far as i can see.. no major interaction with the M+Xclass flares. updates as always to follow link to images secchi.nrl.navy.mil

Discussion of about the two comets heading our way

This video may help you find the correct location of Comet Elenin in the sky. Basically you will know where/when to look for the comet in the coming months. The location used as a reference is near Kansas City area/USA (CST). If you live in the north hemisphere but in a different time zone just convert the UT time accordingly and it may yet work for you. If you live in the south hemisphere it won’t work for you much, sorry. Enjoy it!

Updated July 26, 2011 8:30AM CDT (Texas) Good morning fellow comet watchers; It’s Tuesday. Today we get a look back at the images I took of Comet Elenin on June 24, 25, and 26. These are the fourth, fifth and sixth night of imaging with the Global Rent a Scope network of telescopes. I never used one of these systems before and the only reason why I was there now was because my father-in-law was not going to get his newly purchased telescopes and cameras up and running in time to take these images of Comet Elenin before it goes in front of the Sun. For the first five nights I was using a combination of telescopes. I started with GRAS-014, TAK FSQ-106ED wide field view telescope because I felt like I could get more area which means I would have a better chance of getting it in the frame. I didn’t realize then that the telescope was going to a spot in space that is determined by a mathematically known position. Basically, if the comet was not in the image it was because the coordinates were not given correctly. The problem with the wide field view is that it is such a large image that a tiny comet is that much smaller to discover. It’s hard to discover because the “centroid” of an images is still just an area and doesn’t have a finger pointing to the comet. So by night five I was trying out the GRAS-004, TAK Epsilon -250 SBIG ST-8XE. Don’t ask me what that means please because I may know in a year but this has only been a couple of months of work for me. What I did find out …

Mirrored from THE SEED OF THOUGHT. Thank you for a fascinating video. There was no pole shift on Mar. 15, 2011 but there was a 9.0 earthquake in Japan on Mar. 11, 2011. I’m anxious to see what happens on the future dates highlighted in this video. As always, I am providing information. It is YOUR choice whether to believe, not to believe or to just keep an open mind. I am hoping everyone will keep an open mind and at least begin preparing for the worst case scenario. It can’t hurt and being prepared for ANYTHING may just save your life.
