The 2012 date is disinformation to make us think we have more time than we actually do. Most of us will not live to see the year 2012. The Mayans actually made the astronomical prediction that Elenin/Tyche/Nibiru/Planet X would destroy the majority of modern civilization in 2011.

The Mayan Calendar and Comet Elenin And interesting note about the Mayan’s date of their ending calendar: According to a guy called “Cark Johan Calleman” (www.calleman.com) who apparently has talked to some Mayans living today, the significant date is NOT 21 Dec. 2012, but 28 Oct. 2011. This is interesting because Calleman apparently is unaware that just around that date comet Elenin is passing close to earth. Do you find it difficult to make plans for 2012? In fact, do you find it difficult to share your 2012 calendar when almost anyone would jokingly tell you that the end of the world will happen next year so what’s the use of planning for it? It might be a joke to some but I bet all this negativity is bound to affect you one way or another.

There are a lot of 2012 predictions concerning the year 2012 that it becomes difficult to plan your next year. Your 2012 calendar is probably empty right now, and so is everyone else’s. The big question is: should you really be affected with all these 2012 predictions? Is it really possible for the world to end next year? Before you get dragged into all these 2012 doomsday theories, better get into the bottom of things by finding out about how the 2012 phenomenon really started.

How the 2012 Phenomenon Started
When people say 2012 calendar, they probably mean the Mayan calendar. You can blame the Mayan civilization for all these hoopla right now about the world ending since it was them who said that the world is going to end in December 21, 2012. They believed that the world ended and renewed every 5,000 so years and so theorists grabbed onto this idea and started predicting the end of the world in 2012. However, these doomsday ideas are basically just ideas taken out of context. You cannot say that the Mayan believed that the world is going to end next year without really studying the Mayan culture and belief system. If you just jump right into what was said without considering how it was said or how it was interpreted by the sender of that message, you are just bound to encourage more misunderstanding.

Understanding the Mayan Culture
Most theorists just jump into the end of the world part and don’t bother reading about what the Mayan people thought of this. Because if they did, they will find out that for the Mayan culture, the end of the world signals the coming of a better world and that in fact, it is a joyous moment that if you witness, you would feel honored to.

So the next time someone starts ruining your 2012 calendar planning, ask them probing questions and tell them all about how these 2012 hoopla started and how everyone got it wrong.
