Ok, this story is absurd. There are hundreds of independent studies supporting global warming.
Of course companies are trying to make a profit on it – they try to make a profit on anything. Duh. They’ve done so since the beginning of time.
Companies also spend millions trying to discredit global warming because they don’t want to spend money to modernize their equipment. Is that a conspiracy too?
A barrel floating in the ocean will grow a seaweed farm. It would be easy to create rainforest sized algae farms mid ocean. The seaweed farms would photosynthesis, as well as the lifeforms themselves would be made of carbon.
Cheap. Proactive. Harmless.
Also mid ocean seaweed (algae) farms could be towed to counties in need for emergency food fuel.
No downside.
Build seaweed farms from shore and tow them out to sea and anchor them. Polluting companies could sponsor the low costs.
Win Win Win
No this one show does not cast sufficient doubt upon AGW.
It’s all the other contrary data and intentional malfeasance on the part of these “trusted” quasi-public servants doing the research in terms of the manipulated data sets and cherry picking of data and the exclusion of equally qualified climate experts and the collusion to prevent independent peer review of data.
They’ve discussed how if anyone makes a FOIA request, they’d destroy the data. That’s not a joke.

It sounds like they are actually taking issue with carbon credit trading which is indeed a bad idea made up by the few big business converts smart enough to fear for their credibility if they kept deigning the reality of this situation.
