Beach Cleanup is Available After BP Oil Spill

The Gulf of Mexico’s beaches are need of serious beach cleanup after being endangered by oil slicks coming from the BP oil spill. The oil can saturate the white beach sand and turn it into a toxic wasteland that no person, or animal, would want to live on or visit. However, there are beach cleanup companies that specialize in cleaning up beaches and using oil spill cleanup methods that have proven to be effective. One of these methods involves the use of HESCO® Concertainer® units. The units are packaged flat for easy deployment and can be assembled within 20 minutes time. Once they are joined together, the units can stretch for miles and protect beaches that cover a lot of ground. The units can also be filled with materials such as crushed rock, earth, sand or granular materials. The units also have a stable core with a pyramid design of a stacked row of threes. This makes them strong and gives them the structural integrity needed to withstand the forces of nature like in a hurricane or beach erosion. There are many benefits to using the units for beach cleanup. They are durable, can be placed with ease, require little labor, can be used for a wide range of applications and are practical as well as highly efficient.

Another element to beach cleanup that makes the HESCO® Concertainer® units even stronger is the addition of agents such as Enviro Armour™. This is a proprietary blend of USDA food grade polymers and the Environmental Protection Agency lists it on its National Contingency Plan Product Schedule as a solidifier for oil spills that occur in the Gulf of Mexico waters. Any oil that is floating on water or comes on shore and makes contact with the HESCO® Concertainer® units is turned into a solid, which makes oil spill cleanup a lot easier to perform than it would be if the oil was still a liquid. The solid oil can also be used later on for asphalt, rubber, plastics and even fuel for burning.

Integrated Protection Systems (IPS) is working hard to provide beach cleanup using the HESCO® units and the Enviro Armour™ together as a oil spill fighting duo that has already proven it’s effective in Dauphin Island, AL and other places. If you need oil spill cleanup that works, contact IPS today. For more about IPS’s efforts to perform beach cleanup, email info@bp-oil-spills.com.
