The perseids meteor shower is back. It is meteorwatch week. It will reach its peak between the 11th and 13th of August. The best time to watch 60 and more meteors an hour is in the night from the 12th to the 13th after midnight till dawn. Especially in the early morning hours. You won’t need telescopes. If you want to take pictures set your cameras to infinity and the shutter to several seconds. As darker your surrounding is as better. Try to avoid city and street lights. Best place probably would be a hill outside of the city. Get a deckchair or rugs and don’t forget, it can be cold out there. So dress accordingly And no worries not all moving objects are planes and satellites. You hopefully will see a lot of falling stars As you can see it is pretty cloudy here. I hope you are luckier ? Enjoy and leave me a comment if you were successful star catching ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please check out Meteorwatch.org for more information and watch there epic trailer bit.ly . ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meteorwatch on Twitter If you are on Twitter, please check out the #meteorwatch which starts today Wednesday 11 and ends Saturday August 14th. cool sara!, and so was the nightly show…the sky was clear as can be! They started coming in heavy around 2:00am Indiana time. I only wish I watched this prior to filming and my clips may have come out better. Thanks for the info on how to set the camera, I’ll take that under advice next time. (Explore On!)
Dang, I missed the meteors. I was on vacation in Florida… it would have bee amazing to see them zoom over the ocean.
