Louisiana oil spill five times worse than first thought

FOCUS – USA: The race is on to stop the Louisiana oil leak becoming the worst in US history. Experts now say the oil well is spilling 5000 barrels a day, equivalent to 800000 litres. A state of emergency has now been declared, as the slick is likely to have a devastating effect on the seabirds and marine life that inhabit those waters.

40% of BP is American, a residue of Amoco merger. If federal do not take it serious enough, I think the state should step in. I am not a BP stock holder but I do eat sea food and the potential carcinogens accumulated in fish/oysters/crawfish can be a concern for years to come. This could take years for things to be normal.
Please, governor Jindal, send more state guards and reservists to clean up the oil…nowww. If need be, you must go yourself. You can outsource if you 1.

this is BP’s fault not obama’s, im embarrased that they call themself british petroleum. they are a fat cat company, the most expensive petrol station in the uk and for what, they r shit at thier own jobs, cant even plug an oil leak. i hope they go under but not before they pay for the environmental damage they have inflicted through thier gross neglegence.
