The Moon, Venus and Jupiter Alignment, Late November – Early December 2008

Watch in HQ. This is an amazing phenomenon in which the moon, Venus and Jupiter “align” or come together quite close in the night/dusk sky between the time period of November 30-December 2, particularly on December 1, 2008 is the peak of the event. Unluckily the weather wasn’t cooperating on Monday night for us here in San Jose, CA. Got densely foggy…But this is a nice video I made that’ll still be quite wonderful! ( just say the “before and after” the moon, Venus and Jupiter aligned) hehe. Some astronomy to know: Our moon is about 252000 miles from Earth while Venus is 94 million miles away and Jupiter is 540 million miles away. The next time the two planets and the moon will make this rare alignment will be on November 18, 2052!
