San Diego had a 7.2 quake a few weeks ago. I left for my house 30 minutes before ut happened and didn’t even feel it. When I got to the hiking town, everyone was talking about the quake. Scary

@carbon4me i remember i was coming out of a school dance and the dj announced the s.f. 1989 quake. very scary i could imagine.
Earthquakes are somewhat scary because there is no warning. It also depends on the magnitude of the quake. Some are rolling while others are in a jolting manner. I can recall at least 25 earhquakes experienced as a lifelong Californian. The 1989 quake was 7.1 and centered only 25 air miles from my home. This was the worst quake in terms of power. I could not stand without holding onto the living room table.
